Iam planning to get my Wifes siser for a visit here to US. She is having a 6 yr old girl and due to other circumstances I cannot get her along with my wifes sister.

Will she get her approval?? she is close to 30 yrs of age and she will leave her Husband and her daughter and come here for a visit... Will this help in getting her the visa as she is leaving her family back in India...

Does any one has undergone thru this scenario... and have got approved...

Please post ur reply to this post

Try to get visa for her & Baby togeather .. Specifically tell Consulate that because of WORK/Business/other stuff her Husband can not travel...This might give you an advantage.

She should get her visa along with her kid .. Ohther wise ask her to forget about the visa .. Man .. the US consulate is damn tough now ..

I know of a lady who have got visa even though she had kids who did not come to the US along with her - and that was as less than a year ago. If you have all the supporting docs (why she is visiting etc), it may not be a big problem - but like others said, maybe the kid should get the visa together - but need not make the trip. Actually not getting the kid along might a bigger convincing factor that the person may go back to India, but then the consulates are all so whimsical that on a bad day even the best laid plans will go awry
