I've been a silent reader in this form and appreciate if you gurus could provide any guidance in my case.
My 485 was received with VSC on July 28th, 2003 and is still not approved yet. The last update on my status was on 10/07/2003 saying that the finger print results were received and processing resumed. Sent an inquiry to Mr. Hardy @ FBI, and received a reply confirming that my application was received for name check on Aug 2003, and is in the 'Pending' status. I'm currently on my EAD since my H1 visa is expired. The above is one part of the story.
Now, my wife recently became a US citizen. She came to US as an immigrant on 1998. My question is.... If I file thru my wife now, will it affect my current status since I'm no longer on my H1 but on EAD, and EAD is related to the 140-485 process.
Appreciate any guidance to this, as am getting frustrated with the whole process. Thanks!!!
