Help : Port Of Entry Question

I am coming first time to usa on B1/B2 multiple entry visa which is valid for 10 yrs. Now my question is can i come two weeks early then my scheduled business and visit a friend at a different port of entry. My business is in california and my friend is in new jersey. Do you think that i can get in trouble for that. Any one with personal experience?
 
Your entering two weeks earlier is not going to be a problem provided that your visa is open at this time. B1/B2 is the type of visa that allows for tourism as well as business trips, so you should be fine. Keep in mind, howeer, that you cannot stay in the US longer than the time indicated on your I-94 card, which is a white card they staple in your passport at the border.
