hi everybody!
i am new to this forum, hope to get reply
i have been here in usa as a tourist visa and now unfortunately my I-94 has expired and even applied for extension as a student visa which will be decide on february 2009 but since i am giving birth to a child on march 2009 is it possible that i can stay here in usa till the child gets born for its not possible for me to travel in this last trimester, very much wooried so can anybody help me to answer the possibilities to stay here for few months legally?:(

You knowingly violated US law and overstayed your authorized time in order to have your child be a US citizen.

First, you can still return to your home country as travel is generally only limited in last 4 to 6 weeks.

See Catholic Charities for help with your illegal status.

Realize your child gives you no immigration benefit until he/she is 21 - if US immigration law does not change. You are unlikely to obtain another US visitor visa if you have been a public charge.

thanks for ur reply!

hello concerned4us!
thanks for ur reply
u didn't understand my explanation, anyway i had applied for my extension before my I-94 expired and my case had been pending since then. Till now i have been maintaining my status and i no longer intend to stay here illegally
And moreover i didn't have any intention to have a baby born but it did happen so i just wanted help to get it done all legally for its my last trimester if it was earlier i certainly would have gone back home and had my baby born with grat care.
