I got I-485 approval the same day I sent out my EAD and AP renewal. Today I found INS had deposited my check.
CouldI get refund from INS?
What should I do about it?

Thank you JoeF, but the point is that I mail out the renewal the same day of the approval.

When they process the renewal package, they should be able to find my I-485 has already approved and there is no point to process the renewal, and should return the package.

I noticed the I-765 and I-131 forms have the "fee is not refundable". But I still feel this is not quite right.

same thing happened to me. i considered calling the bank and putting a stop payment on the check. then i was advised by well wishers that this could possibly offend dear old INS in some form (not sure how). so i gave up on my hard earned $$!
as a side note, I got a rejection letter from INS saying that they denied my EAD as they found that my GC got approved.

dont mind it. they can keep the money!
