Help please..Can we go to any local office to get the passport stamped?

I have been approved yesterday. Please see my previous posts for details.
I have two questions:

1) Is alright to go to any local office to get the passport stamped? I am a resident of Boston and currently in NYC on a project, will return to Boston only for the weekends.

2) Also, is the email from USCIS enough to get the stamping done. Are there more documents that we need to carry other than our passports.

Please share any experiences. Thanks
 
1. YES.
2. Take the courtesy copy of approval with you along with passport, I-94, two ADIT style photos with A# written in the back, all EAD/AP's.
