Help: OPT to H1 gap(4 months) What are my alternatives?

Hey,

I'm on my OPT right now (post bachelors degree), and the comopany I'm working for has agreed to file H1B. However, my OPT expires on May 30th. And if my H1B is approved, I can start working only on 1st Oct. I've seen similar threads here, but no answers in them, if I could get any help on how I can remain staying in the US or working for the company, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Here's the crackdown on my questions:

1) Last year, US-CIS extended the 2 month grace period to remain in the US if OPT had expired and a change of status had been filed. Is anybody aware of a similar move my CIS for students in the same situation this year?

2) Can I enroll in a master program full time and continue working for my current employer under CPT, till OCT 1st when my H! becomes active?
Is there a rule that I have to be active in the program for 1 year before CPT or since I've been on F1 status for the past 4+ years, I can start my CPT as soon as i get admitted in the program?

3) If my understanding is correct, I will not be able to transfer to an L1 visa for the 4 months because I should have been an employee w/ the company for 2 years, correct? Are there any loopholes around this?
Is anyone aware of a visa similar to the L1 in the UK? Because my company is HQ in uk, I was thinking I can work temp in London and come back in Oct.

4) This is purely hypothetical, suppose CIS extends the 2 months grace period , if I convince my employer to allow me to work during that period w/out a paycheck, is it legal/safe?

5) If there are any other suggestions plz let me know!

I appreciate ur help.
