Help on Labor Cert Substitution - to go with 140 or not?

Hello,
I think this is the right forum for this question.

I have a question on the labor cert substitution.

I have an option for a labor substitution that requires 5 years of IT experience and some web skills as on the date the labor was filed.

I have worked for a consulting company for 8 years and the company has given me a generic experience letter stating the start date and end date of my employment and my designation while leaving the company, which is very generic to indicate that I was an IT guy.

Now the lawyer wants a proof that at least 5 yrs of that experience is in IT and that I had the required skills.
I am trying to get it from the consulting company and its taking significant amount of time.

However I have worked with various major clients of the company for about 6 years of my tenure with the company and I have the referral letters from the client managers stating that I had worked for them representing the xxx consulting company and that I had worked on these technologies during the time and they are more than happy to be my reference.

Also I have an appreciation letter from the consulting company praising my efforts at one of the client location.

Do you think this information, of a generic letter from the consulting company and experience verification letters from the clients I worked, is good enough to proceed with the labor substitution or do I have to get a letter mentioning all these skills from the consulting company itself?

The reason for asking is, usually consulting companies are not aware of the technologies we work at the client location and they get the information on them only from us when we update our resumes. So it will be difficult for them to verify the experience.

Also I would think letters from the clients are far more accurate than the ones from the employer, if the employer is a consulting company.

Please let me know if anyone had prior experience with this situation before or if you have any suggestions on this.

Thanks in advance for the help.

i think u should be ok, also

u can get letters from co-workers, they should also do good for u

good luck

Thanks for your response.
But I am not sure if letters from Co-workers provide more credibility than the actual client letter bcuz the client letter is on their letterhead where as the co-worker letter is on a normal letter from anyone claiming to be my co-worker right?

Also client is aware of my skills than the co-worker, who can possibly be manipulated to write it to my own linking?
