Hi,
I found from the forum that I have to submit the original IRS tax transactions. But I am in India from the last 1 year and I dont know how I can get them now from IRS.

My interview was on 27th Dec and I dont have much time to get them from US.

I have the original w-2 forms and the copies of 1040 forms submitted to IRS from 1999 to 2001 with me. Are these enough or do I need to get them from IRS? If so how can I get them fast to here.

Gurus please help.

Me not a guru.
Since u have the w-2 and 1040 forms, it will help you during interview, if they ask u at all for the tax returns. Do they specifically mentioned tax-transcripts in pkt-4 ? (which I doubt), so don't worry.
still I think following info might help you.
1) If u r going to Mumbai consulate - don't worry.
2) If u have any friend over here, ask them to call IRS for getting transcripts in 5 days and ask the to send by DHL courier(will be reached all metros after 3 working days). But for getting transcripts, ur friend might need to know ur SSN -

cheers!!

I think you are OK. Further since you are in India for 1 year it will not matter for you.
BTW your W2 plus tax returns are as good as tax transcripts.

:)
I sucessfully completed the CP at chennai with the w-2 forms and the copies of my 1040 transactions. they returned all the w-2 forms and retained only the last tax years(2001) tax filings.
