help on I485: approved but under review

Folks,

My wife and I filed EB1-B 485 in Aug. 2006. My wife, as the dependent, got her GC last march, which I didn't get. When I tried to renew EAD&AP in Aug. 2008, it was rejected because "case has already been approved". I went to infopass Oct. 2008, my attorney filed inquiry several times, the status is always "approved, under review". Anybody has similar experience? I switched job two times after Sept.2007 and didn't send any notice to USCIS.

My attorney asked me to go infopass for a stamp on passport to show that I'm actually approved. Anybody did that before? Will the officer agree to do that? My attorney said she's not sure.

Any suggestion appreciated!

Frank

Thank you for the reply. But when my attorney filed the inquiry, they clearly answered that it is approved but still under review. So you mean those bastards are cheating on me?

That may very well be the status in the system. But once you file the I-90, that forces USCIS to look more thoroughly at the files and take action, either to produce the card or tell you that your case is still pending.

Hi All,

This is my first post in this fantastic forum where people share each other's experiences. My case just got transferred to NBC on 12/6/2008. I have a 24 hr. detention on my record because when I came to US in 2001, my sponsoring company went out of business and I was in process of tranferring my H1B to another Co. Meanwhile, I called my family here in Denver. At the airport, the IO asked me where I was working. I told him the fact that I am transferring my H1B to another company. I guess he refused to accept this and sent my family back to India right away and detained me for 24 hrs. They also started a removal proceeding case against me. Next day, I got out on bail and started the damage repair process. After 6-8 months, I got my H1B approved through the new company, removal proceeding case got terminated right away, and my family joined me a month later. A year later, we moved to California and joined a new company. My current H1B and GC processing is this same employer. Every thing is in compliance. Now, we are expecting this I-485 interview and my biggest concern is that will the arrest/detention thing create a serious problem for our case? We disclosed everything in the I-485 application and submitted certified copies of termination order and everything. I was wondering if someone has the same kind of problem as mine, so that we can share more to prepare for the interview in a better way. Please advise. Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
