Help on I140 RFE

I got I-140 RFE on 12/3/03. Just wondering how long it should take to get my case approved if my attorney already responded to that RFE on 12/9?

Thanks, Dyno. But the RFE was just based on a typo made by my attorney, who accidently marked the CP as my next step instead of 485. Do you think it will still take that long to prove it?

For most RFEs the USCIS takes 30-90 days to take action on a received document. If USCIS is not clear about the evidence you have attached it would generate another RFE. Then the time line changes from 30-90 days from the reply of your RFE.

When your lawyer replies to any queries always try to get a copy of it, if possible, before he send it across to USCIS. A decent cover letter and a valid explanation should solve your problem.

Again this is based on the approval trend as seen in this and various trackers.
