I am applying for my parents visitor visa, how much bank balance is required ?

And is it neccessary to provide stocks and bonds information?

You need to get your account statement which has the following information:

Date account opened
Current Balance
Average Balance

It comes from bank headoffice and takes 5-6 bus days. Your average balance matters than the current balance. Not sure how average balance is calcualted. But I know that it will be less than your direct deposit salary..

Also you need to get a letter from employer with the salary mentioned. Both of these will show your capability to take care of your parents.

It is not necessary to disclose stocks and bonds..

In DS-156 it asks for the sponsor info. If you parents/bro/sis have enough money to cover to travel expense, it can be mentioned there.
