My fiance and I have a confirmation number that sarts wit: 20122F and the remaining are letters, no numbers. Other CN i have seen here starts with just 2012 without any additonal 2 and contains both letters and numbers. Can any one confirm that this could still be a valid CN. Please send your comments

There is a difference between a Confirmation Number and a Case Number (CN). The Confirmation Number is given to anyone who apply for the DV lottery in October* every year, whilst the Case Number is given to only DV winners to pursue their visa application. Which one are you talking about? Are you a winner?
tanks ammek for the clarification. we applied for dv2012 and we are yet to check due the temporary tech. Problems the dv site is experiencing. Heard that the winners of dv12 are mostly from the list of applicants that registered btwn 5 and 6 october 2010! Any infor on this? We registered on the 29th

Looking at the way things are going, your chances of winning is very low if you applied on 29th October. A friend and I made over 100 entries beginning from 25th October but none won.
Do you know that this is the kind of things the KCC is fighting against? They didn't put all that help for the photo check & all the warning for nothing... I am pretty sure that none of thoses who went through agency won this year
