Hi,
I am on employment based IV going on CP and I have to give affidavit of support to my wife.
Now my problem is I am here in India from the last 1 year and I do have some money in the US banks. I want to show that for the support. But I dont have the bank statements and I cannot get the statement from US banks as I am not there. I can access them using internet though. How can I show this amount in the support and how can I show the proofs for that amount.

My salary here may not be satisfy them.

I am planning to add some more funds to it and get the statement if possible.

Some one please help me ....

Hi,

Same boat, I asked Ron Gotcher regarding this, although I don't have US bank money, his answer might help you in salary. Somewhere I found, you may just mention the prospective Salary and attach a copy of Emp.Letter with I134:

Following was the discussions:

Luit:

I have this question regarding I134. I am living in India and getting Indian salary, what should I put in the Current salary item?

Ron:

You should put the salary that you will receive when you immigrate, and attach a copy of your job verification letter to the I-134.

Luit:

As you know I am talking about Item#7, and I am placing my current indian company's name, address in the appropriate boxes. Logically, when it asks "I derive an annual income of $...." it seems the current salary. Please confirm once more that Current Indian company and future US salary is just fine, I appreciate your help.

Ron:

You should put the U.S. company information there. Tell them that since the I-134 is prospective in nature (that is, a promise to support your family after they immigrate), you are giving the consular staff information about your income and assets after you immigrate.

I modified the Affidavit of support to state
I will derive an annual income of ... and specified the US salary there.

Now since I am in India I cannot notarize that and I have to take oath before counsler and so I didnt sign it and submitted the form as it is.

My CP process went thru and no body asked about the signature and I also forgot that during the interview. They issued our CP. will this create any problems at my P.O.E ?
