Help: Old priority date or New priority date after US Citizen???

Hello all,

I desperately need your advice. I filed 1-130 for my husband last September while I was a GC holder. I naturalized earlier this year, (May 2015), upgraded the I-130 to his category to spouse of US citizen. I have not received any update since then (4 months after).

I have gotten conflicting reports from the USCIS phone reps, one said he would retain his priority date, another said his new priority date was the day I naturalized.

Here is the response i keep getting from them : Your petition is still pending consideration, however, it is currently with an officer. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition.

Has anyone experienced similar situations? Did your beneficiary get a new priority date? What do we need to do if our old priority date was retained?

Please your advices will be greatly appreciated.

He would retain his priority date, but in your case his priority date is completely irrelevant now since the spouse of a US citizen is in the Immediate Relative category which never has a wait for visa numbers.

Should I be worried that there is problem? It's been almost 1 year since waiting. What do you advice for the next course of action????
