HELP: Oath ceremony dates San Jose CA

I applied in Aug 2005, Fingerprinted Sept 2005, interview set for Feb 14th 2007.

1) Is there a list of oath ceremony dates for Feb/march 2007 for the San Jose, CA center?

2) My sister is getting married on the 25th of march and I have to be in India for that. Can I request an earlier oath date?

3) Is an OCI the best way to travel to India for a few years? Can I apply for an OCI from India itself?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

1) I dont have an answer for this.

2) You certainly can. Schedule an InfoPass and see what happens. If they don't honor you request then see if they will do it on the day of the interview. Please note, you are assuming that you are going to successfully pass the interrview. That may or may not happen.
3) OCI is the best way. But note it takes time. Some folks get the PIO card first and then convert to OCI. To the best of my knowledge you cannot apply for OCI from India.

Please, could you edit your first post and correct the dates. I think from another of your posts it seems your fingerprint was done on Sept 2006, not 2005 as it says in the post in this thread.

One place that has information about oath ceremony dates is:

In particular, the next ceremony in February is scheduled for Feb. 21st. They don't have information for March, you'll probably have to come back later to this site and check for the date. Anyway, I speculate that the ceremonies are done the third Wednesday of the month (I could be wrong, it is just my speculation), but that seems to be the case for January and February.

I don't know if there is another place where the oath ceremony can take place.

It would seem that if you pass the interview and get scheduled for March ceremony it would interfere with your travel plans. I would mention your situation to the interviewing officer, he/she might be able to accomodate your circumstances and get you a date on February or April depending on when everything is ready for your oath. It is my own opinion that bringing your plane tickets as proof of your need could be helpful.
