I have two questions regarding I-485 approval.

1. If an applicant for I-485 were to be outside US traveling because he has AP at the time his case were approved, would there be trouble for him when he reenter using AP document? As I understand one has to be physically in US to adjust status.

2. Is it possible for a case of derivative applicant be approved BEFORE that of the priciple applicant?

All you opinions will be highly appreciated!

1.If you have AP, no problem in traveling.
2.Logically not possible but happened with couple of
  cases in the past.
