My case transfered to Newark 10 months ago on Aug 2003, till now we did not get any interview letter from local INS office. We got RFE for medical as the doctor forgot to check the skin test is normal or abnormal. the results are fine for my husband, but for me the doctor suggested to take chest X-ray as i took first time and he said its one year back so you have to do it again. Again i took Chest x-ray and it came normal, but the the stupid doctor filled it abnormal. My question is

Is this the reason they are not scheduling interview?

Please any advises are welcome

My wife is also a victim of doctor's mistake who did not put a check mark where it's supposed to be. I discovered this only at the interview. The officer told me that she could not make any decision till I get medical form resubmitted. As a result, her case is delayed for who knows how long.

I am sure that they would not schedule your interview till you get this issue cleared with the doctor. It will be much worth if this pops up again at the interview. They are absolutely not flexible with this issue.

Thanks for your information alexk.

How to re-submit the medicals again to local INS office?
Can we take new medicals from another doctor?

Thanks

I went to the same medical office and they just retyped the form, signed, sealed in an envelope and I mailed it together with special form that I got from the local office.
I mailed it on May 19th and yesterday I received an acknowledgment letter, saying that they received the information, passed it to the officer. But they advice not to bother them in the next 4 months.

I think that redoing medicals is not a bad idea, but costs extra money.

If you are going to send something to the local office be sure that it will go right to your file by properly labeling all the documents and writing a cover letter where you will explain the reason why you are resubmitting the evidence. Anyway, this may trigger a review of your case.

Good luck.

Thanks alexk for your quick reply.
If you don't feel I am bothering you, I have one more quick question:

How can we re-sumbit medicals to local INS office without issue query or RFE?
Can we submit or are they going to issue any query?

Thanks

I am not sure what is the right way to resubmit documentation if they are not formally asking for it. May be a nicely worded cover letter will be helpful? Or try calling 1-800 number. They are not very helpful, but ...
