My husband got his first masters two years back and took an OPT, was on it for 4-5 months before he got admitted for a PhD into another school. In the new school, he has to graduate and leave with just a MS(thesis option) degree sometime around July- August 2008. He does not have another OPT because it is just another Masters. We have applied to other schools for a PhD but have not received any positive response. we might get one or two MS admission only at other schools but not a PhD.
I am on my F-1 status waiting on H-1 decision (and am eligible for OPT extension).
Pl advise on what we can do about his case- an internship, filing next year thru consultant, what to do in the meanwhile, any kind of advice would help us.
