Help needed.. H1and EAD

Myself and my husband (primary applicant) are on H1B.

1) On approval of EAD, can I start working on EAD and my husband (primary applicant) continues to work on H1B. Can dependent use EAD, though primary applicant maintains H1 status.

2) Can I go back to school using EAD?

Any help in this matter is appreciated.

I have read a lot of similar postings,and from what i read, i understand that once spouse or primary applicant uses EAD/AP ,both loose the H1 status and fall under Adjustee status.

No.If primary and spouse are previously on H1 and if Spouse uses EAD then only the Spouse loose H1 Status not the Primary.

That means I can use EAD ( at present I\'ve H1 and dependenet for GC)
and my husband(primary applicant) can continue on h1. Please clarify.
