Help Needed ... Can dependent extend after 6 yrs H1 if spouse's I140 is approved

My friend's & his spouse applied for I140/I145. He is the dependent on the petition. After 6 yrs on H1 .. can he extend for 1 yr if his spouse's I140 is approved???


Any help will be appreciated.

NO. If he has filed a 485 for himself, he can get a EAD and work on that. He cannot extend his H1, unless he has a labor pending in his name for more then 365 days prior to the last day his H1 expires.
