help needed: AP usage in third country

Hi, there,

I got a valid AP from 2003/06-2004/06 when I came back to China in June. I am planning to go the Europe(Spain) in September for a conference, then via there, back to US with AP, I am wondering if it works for me with AP in third country (Spain).

Alternatively, I may apply for H1 visa in Spain to enter US, as I have had a job in US and maintain a legal H1 status (my old H1 visa is void).

Which options should I take ? Your valuable imput and help would be very much appreciated.

Do you have a multiple entry or a single entry AP? I don't think there is any reason why they won't let you in if you travelled to a third country. AP is a re-entry permit, not a permit to allow you to travel to only certain countries.
