help needded please

hi i am a student on opt right now when i was doing my masters a comapany x filed me a h-1 in general quota ans said that it is been approved but they were going on postponing and did not allow me to join them my opt is valid till october so i can still file h-1 this april in master's quota if my application does not pick this time what should i do please help me with issue

You need to make sure H1 was not an automatic COS. In that case you could be in trouble. But, if it was approved in any case you do not need to file again through cap. You are cap counted and hence exempt.
