help - need advice - waiting for 140/485

travelling back to canada and need advice please....
i live in MASS and i am awaiting 140/485. my nd is nov 24, 2003. i received AP a couple months ago. awaiting FP, 140/485. i am on H1B. at the end of the wknd when i come back to MASS, do i show the immigration officials my H1B in my passport, or should i use my advance parole. what impact will each of them have? what are the implications? thank you in advance. douglas
 
It doesn't matter what you show. If you show H1b, you will be able to complete check-out fast and will be avoid confusion for dumb officers.
 
thank you! i just wanted to be sure. i thought however if i used just my H1B that perhaps my applications for 140/485 would become void....

Not really. H and L are dual intent visa. So you can use these and still keep your applications live.
 
one h1b stamp related Q for Jharkhandi..

what is you do not have I485 receipt ? I read in the forum that officer can demand 485 receipt from us. If you failed to show it, I485 is in danger of being denied. Is that true?
 
I have not found such a case happening when person is on stamped H or L visa. But surely it doesn't hurt to carry copy 485 reciept.
