I have an ergent thing. My parents in law got green card more than 9 years.
This year in Jan 20, They went to the other country. But now they can\'t back for some reason. I don\'t know If their green cards would be cancel?
They left USA about five months. What is the last date should they come back and that would not effects them (They are not citizen , Only perment residents.)
Thank you very much for your help

They could apply for a two-year parole. But it has to be applied while they are in the US. However, they need not wait here for the approval of the parole. It would be safe to return within 6 months from the date of leaving the US, apply for a parole and leave the US.

Hello..if you don\'t mind me asking, where are your in-laws from?..If your are permanent residents in the US and traveled to another country or visited their country, they cannot exceed one year..or they would pay a penalty,or may have their GC revoked..The only way i can think of is that they some problems with their visa..I would suggest contacting your local INS office.
