Hi, im really confused and i was wondering if anyone knew anything that would help

My LPR mother filed for me in 2012 when i was still under 21. Now i am 21 and i received notice that my I130 is approved. My priority date is Jan 18, 2013 but my notice date was Sept 27,2013 and i turned 21 on June 14 of this year. I dont understand how i received this after my 21 birthday, i received the letter stating i would be moved into F2b category but under the I-797 approval notice its approved as F2a. Is my application still valid

Any info would help.

You are still eligible to stay in F2A, based on the CSPA adjustment.

Your I-130 took a little more than 8 months to be approved, so you get to subtract 8 months and a few days from your actual age. That would give you an adjusted age of under 21.

If you're inside the US, hurry up and apply for adjustment of status.

If you're outside the US, your mother needs to follow up with the NVC to make sure you stay in F2A based on your eligibility under the CSPA (or get put back into F2A if they already automatically moved you to F2B) and get your case forwarded to a consulate in the country where you live.
