I got my Labour approval last week. I understand I have two options, either apply for I140 and I485 simultaneously from here in California, and wait for my green card or apply for I140 and for Consular processing in India. Now my H1B will expire in 1.5 years.
So if I assume my I140 will take about 9 months(in EB3) to get and then maybe another 9 months to get my Consular processing appointment will I get a H1B extension.
With the current economic conditions is it prudent to go for Consular processing or I485. Thanks for any help.
