I lost Canadian Permanent Resident paper, but I do have a photo copy of it. I am currently in US. How can I get a replacement.

Another big problem is, I have been working in US for several years, because I couldn't find a job in Canada. Now it's time to apply for the new PR card, what should I do given I lost my PR paper and outside of Canada for so long? Can anyone give some advice? I truely appreciate it.

In case you want to know, I really want to go back to Canada now, I am willing to gave up working in US.

You mean the landing paper, right?

Call the canadian immigration hotline, tell her you misplaced the landing papers, no need to mention where you are, what you been upto etc, and just ask for the procedure to get another copy.

Another way, call an immigration attorny from yellow pages and ask him/her over the phone. Give as little personal info as possible.

Hope this helps.
