Help! LC approved but company went bankrupt....

Please help...

The company that I worked for just went bankrupt. I read somewhere that somehow the LC could be re-used if it is in the same region. I am in Dallas TX area and I am wondering whether I could use my LC to continue my I140 with another company. Is Austin, TX consider the same geographical region too? Please help.

Company does not exist now

I-140 goes one on one with the company for which LC has been obtained.If I-140 was \'in process\' at the time when your company started going bankrupt, INS has some provisions where your attorney can present the case as \'not to lose a once in lifetime opportunity\' for you, this needs to be done to immigration judges but they still look for some strong support evidence from your company\'s president etc..If this is not case for you , and if you have about two years time(at least) in your visa expiry, I would recommend to start all over with new company from LC onwards.
