Friends, I am scared since my group is under re-structure and my title will be changed from Software Engineer to Programmer Analyst. Same company but our team will be under another director and all the software guy under this director will have the title of Porgrammer Analyst. I am doing Consular Processing now. My I-140 is showing my title is Software Engineer. Although I am still doing software development, will the consulate visa officer deny my CP case during interview due to the title change?

I haven't received my Packet 3 yet. On my packet 3, shall I put software engineer as my occupation rather than Programmer Analyst?

My lawyer told me not to worry that much. But how about you guys' input?

Thanks a lot!

I had a similar scnario ,but had no problems .. my consular was MUMbai.
In the ds230 i have filled the occupation as the same as in I140/labor and in the current tittle only i have indicated my new designation. It worked for me .. the officer was reding the offer letter very carefully as we can make out and thats the only paper he was holding throughout our interview which lasted abt 2min!

Thanks a lot!

Put what the current title is and as far as the job desc. is same as the previous one, it is fine ...

Thanks, Alren. You mean, on my Packet 3, I should put "Programmer Analyst" as my occupation? Can I put "Software Engineer/Programmer Analyst" in my occupation? Then it covers both Software Engineer and Programmer Analyst.
I think Software Engineer is the same as Programmer Analyst. What do you think?

Any thoughts? Thanks.
