Hello,
Both me and my wife have interview on July 25th in Chicago. We got our PR in June 2003, but were out of the country for 176 days (less than six months) in 2004 and again in 2005 for 84 days. Both were for employment reasons. We worked for an US employer, but had to work at their offshore center for some time. After 2005 June, we have been in the country all the time except a 3 week vacation in 2007.
Will we be trouble at the interview? If the IO asks us about our reason of being out of the country (which I am sure he will), should we tell them about employment ( I do not have any proof to show him) or just say that is was mainly due to personal reasons? I have filed the US tax returns all the five years, paid my mortage all the 5 years, utility bills etc., and I definitely have intent to live in the country.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
