I have filed a 824 for my wife to follow to join as we were married before my GC was approved.
824 receipt date : november 2002
824 approval date: June 13 2003
Her 824 was approved on June 13th and on July 17th the following was on the BCIS website
Application Type: I824, APPLICATION FOR ACTION ON AN APPROVED APPLICATION OR PETITION
Current Status:
On July 17, 2003 the appropriate American Consulate or port of entry was notified by cable, telephone, or fax of the approval of this case.
She called the US consulate in Delhi and they said that they had not recieved the file. How long does it take for the file/case to reach India. Will it go directly from CSC or does it go first to NSC. She was told that if it was sent by cable, then it is instantaneous.
Any info on what I should do, what to expect will be appriciated.
