Help !! i need to enter US on B1 visa while my fiance(a US citizen) files for K visa

Please tell me is this possible? someone told me that its not possible to apply for 2 visas at same time.
But i need to enter the US for an important test(on business visa) while the K visa(fiance visa) is in process.
What should i do?

Chances of denial for your B1 visa are pretty high as your K visa is being processed. You cannot apply for a non-immigrant visa when you already established an immigration intent.
