Yesterday there was a big fight in my family. The result is that they want to divorce. Now I only have been to US for 7 months. However, if they divorce in a short time, will it affect my mother's and my greencard applications? if it does, what will happen?
In fact, I know the divorce is unavoidable because my father is not a good people but he has greencard now and his status is asylee or refugee( sorry, I still cant tell these two words from each other.) My mother and I are dirivative asylees( I-730 visa). Now I think my father will try to cancel our status ,so i wonder can he succeed?
one more question, are there some signatures needed of my father or his documents in those forms to apply for a greencard?
thanks a lot...I am really worried about that.

Wow, there's a new story here every day.
I would think that the "bona fede" of the marriage will come in question in this case.
I am curious to read what the experts in this forum think.

If he is your biological father, you are okay.Your mother might have problem though. The whole idea is the relative of asylum or refugee must maintain relationship with primery applicant before become PR and you always will be related to your father but you mom is related through marriage and if it ends make her ineligible for forther action for permenent residency.
