sorry to bother everyone.

i am a F1 PhD student.

i want to apply NIW.

however, i found a problem about the I-140 part 6.

part 6 is about basic information about the proposed employment.

since i am F1 student. i am not in work. i get fellowship from University and not work as TA/RA.

thus, hwo to fill in this part? can i leave the part 6 of I-140 as blank?

thank you very much.

To my understanding, there is no employment requirement for NIW.
My guess is that you could leave it blank since you are a student. Or you could put in your scholarship, you need to be a student to get that scholarship, right?
The USCIS officer should not use that box to judge your petition.

Just a note of caution: NIW is for people who have demosntrated that their work is in the interest of this nation. If you are a studnet it will be difficult to prove that. But considering its no more than $500 its doesnt matter.

thanks

i am a PHD student and do some research project of NIH of my advice.
It is a tough sell.
how many papers u have, what r the citations?
if u do not have the right credentials do not apply. wait for some time and make your CV strong and apply.
