HELP!!! How long to receive receipt???

Hi, Friends,
I wonder how long after I filed I-485 I should receive receipt from
VSC. I have filed for more than a month and still nothing from them.

I apprecaite alot if you could share in your experience!!

Check with your lawyer and also call INS. I never recieved my receipt, I was told it was lost in the mail. It doesn\'t really matter if you don\'t get it as long as you do not intend travelling outside the US on H1. Don\'t mean to alarm you...u might still get it.
