HELP-How do I go from H4 visa to GC?????

I recently came to america on an H4 visa with my wife who has H1B visa. My father is an american citizen, but we were out of touch. One week after being here i contact him and he gives me evidence that he started filing for me in 2003, March. But I did not know about him filing a I130, so now i am married and in america, WHAT DO I DO? Do I just wait until I am contacted by USCIS or try contacting them first?
 
you need to find out more about what your father filed.
There is a long waiting list for sponsoring adult children. check the latest visa bulletin at the State Department website.
an H4 visa is a dual intent visa, so you are perfectly fine remaining on H4 while the I-130 is pending.

Basically there is little to do but wait. However you should find out more about the filing.
