What happens if my H1 expiration date is three weeks from the day I come back from India to USA and I also have my H1 extention receipt with me??
Can I get into some kind of situation with the immigration?
What should I do?
My attorney is saying to cancel the trip...
Do I need to consult any other attorney?
This trip is very important.
Please suggest ASAP.

I assume you have H1 extension receipt, not a extension approval notice. In that case, I will agree with your lawyer.

Immigration officer at the port of entry might ask you that
your H1 is getting expired in next 3 weeks. Why you want to
enter US? Your H1 extension receipt is not the proof that your
H1 extension will be approved.
