Help... Have pre-approved labor. Small issue. Help..

Hi, my company has a pre-approved EB2 labor which they are willing to give me. My lawyer says that I should have 5 years of exp before I joined the company to be able to use the labor.

Actually the labor is for EB2/Masters or 5 years exp / Sr. Analyst.

I do not have masters

I joined the company with 4 year of exp and joined as Analyst. Later got a promotion to Sr.Analyst after 18 months. My question is can the 18 months be counted towards the 5 years as the Labor is for Sr.Analyst positon which I started after 5 1/2 years of Exp ? Please can some one tell me if that is possible. You should have 5 years of exp before the priority date of the pre-approved labor.
