Help! Got REF

Hi, folks:

I found today my wife and my 485 cases were requested further evidence (REF).

I just changed my job recently. Ten days ago, We sent AR-11 forms to change our address. However, we haven't called USCIS 1-800 number to update our address (I just heard we need to call the number in order to change the address completely).

My questions:

Who will the REFs mail to, my lawyer or to us directly?

If the REF mail to us directly, what address will the REFs mail to, my old address or my new one?

Thank you for your help.

I485 ND 06/09/2003
REF: 02/02/2005
AD: ???????????????

Every document that USCIS sends by mail for you, your lawyer will have a copy. The only problem is if you haven't called them for your new address ( even if you filed AR-11) , your mail from them MIGHT either be delivered on your old addresss , forwarded to you, or returned to sender. At least , you will still have your lawyer's copy.

What are REFs? Any prediction? Employment REF?

I am the primary applicant for I-140 (EB1-b).

If they are employment REFs, why does my wife case also get a REF?

Thank you for any predictions. Good luck to us all.

Address Change: I always filed AR-11 to somewhere and wrote NSC a letter to tell NSC my address change at the same time. I have never called 1-800 regarding my address change. It seems no problems.

My guess for RFEs are:

1. employment verification (primary); 2. marriage and medical (spouse); 3. marriage, medical, and birthday (for children)

RFE should be sent to your lawyer if you have one. You can organize documents and send them to NSC by yourself. A cover letter (a list of documents) from your lawyer will help.

RFE-Me too

My RD/ND is 6/10/03 and i also got an RFE on my I-485 yesterday. Spouse 485 status is unchanged. Can any one guess what the RFE might be?
From previous forum replies, i think only your attorney gets the RFE notice, i might be wrong.
But 6/03 cases are on the move.
NSC-EB2/RIR
FUTURE EMP Category.

... doubtful...

In my case, the attorney didn't receive any (like all other correspondance); I received the RFE to my address. But in case if you don't notify USCIS by phone (not just AR11), you won't receive it at your new address, because postal service returns it to USCIS (not forward service); it will not be forwarded to your new address even if you informed USPS.
Eventually, you have to call USCIS after xx number of days (as stated in online status message) to ask them to mail to your new address.

can you give details about your RFE ?

gimmeabreak, can you give more details about your RFE ? What was it about and how did you answer it ? Thanks

All others, please post the details of your RFE's please. Thanks

...details

my RFE was about EVL (emloyment verification letter).
I got the content of the letter grafted by attorny and got it signed by employer on the letterhead.
