My dear friend appled for I-485 in September 2001. EB2 PD March 7 2001. He has only 15 months left on his H1-B. He got laid off from his company since the company was bought out and the new company selcted a few of the employees to continue. He has not take his EAD. His six months would have been over by March 2002.
