I am not sure if this is right place for this post but I am trying. I apologize in advance if this is not a right place. I am a Chicago resident and this is for my father-in-law who is currently living with us in Chicago.
My brother in-law (who is citizen of US) applied for my father-in-law under relative category for I-485 in Tampa, Florida. They applied in Nov 2001 and until now; they have not received any notification about their green card beside some fingerprints that were taken some time ago.
My father-in-law recently lost both of his kidneys and is currently admitted in the hospital. He is living fine as long as he is getting dialysis treatment while he is in the hospital. Because he had no health insurance we are trying to apply for Medicaid and one problem, which is holding up most of his benefits, is that he still does not have his green card yet.
According to USCIS web site, they are processing cases of Feb 2002 and my father-in-law applied in the month of Nov 2001. I am looking for any advise that I may get from you.
How can I push USCIS Tampa, FL office to process his green card ASAP?
Should I inform USCIS about his health?
How can I convince Medicaid that his work permit or AP is as good as Green Card?
Thanks in advance.
