I seem to be missing the original offer letter from my employer which I got when I joined the company a year ago; I do have an employer letter stating my current position, salary and stating how long I've been working there. I have an H-1B visa stamp from my previous employer on my passport, and I will provide a copy of the I-797.
Is this enough for an H-4 visa application? The website of the Delhi consulate asks for both an employer letter, as well as the original letter of offer.
Also, since I'm coming back separately from my wife based on my unexpired H-4 visa from my previous employer, will the officer at POE stamp the right date on my I-94 based on a copy, as opposed to an original, of the I-797? Just in case I decide to give the original to my wife if it helps her case.
