I have a friend under an F1 visa in the US who returned to Venezuela in the summer, and while on her way to the airport, she was robbed and consequently lost all her documentation.
She is now waiting for her new passport.
Does anybody know the procedures for getting her student visa stamped on her new passport? Does she has to show the same paperwork as if she were applying for a completely new F1 visa? I understand that she needs to present evidence that her documents were stolen (such as police report), but does she have to show bank account statements and evidence of land ownership, etc?
