Help !!!!! Finger Print Notice and Mail Forwarding!!!

Guys,

I plan to move house in a week or so
and will forward all my mail to the new
house.

Does the U.S. postal department forward
INS Finger Printing Notices?

Are there any people who have had their
finger print notices forwarded by the US
post.

Are they people who have *not* had their
finger print notices forwarded.

If the attorney receives a courtesy copy of
the FP notice, is that is all that is required
to take to the local INS office.

Thanks.

I think they won\'t forward the mails i think it is a good idea to stay in the same place for sometime or Call IIO and Change your address.

Helper007 said his envelope does "not" say anything abt Not to Forward Mail...If so, why wont US postal service forward the mail...I think they will forward.
Any comments appreciated.

But it does say "Return Service Requested".
Would that cause them to return the notice?

Doesnt "return service requested" mean, return if you cannot deliver? Normally, if u have mail fwding this should not trigger "return". It is only triggered if there is no one at the address AND no mail fwd.
Am I correct? Well, I dont know what is correct and what is NOT with regard to INS. It is better not to change address in general.

Bongo,

we too wanted to change home. But lawyer advised us not to. Calling IIO changing the address and forwarding the address with Postoffice "theoretically" helps. It has in reality helped some and for some it has not. The question is do you want to take that kind of a risk ?? And we are talking of "GC" here the one that u r gogoing for ; )) (y u all of us)

I agree.
If possible avoid changing address.
I have know people who ieven dont change their address until they get their plastic cards!

Thanks for the information Guys. this group is great.

People are saying, don\'t change address, but I would
dearly like to change address, after all it could
take years before I get the green card.

Has anyone out there, changed address and still
got the finger print notice forwarded to the new
address.

More importantly, is the original finger print
notice required when you enter the INS office
to get finger printed? Is the courtesy copy from
the lawyer sufficient?

Thanks,

Bongo,

All the documents from INS will be forwarded to your new forwarding address. Please visit http://www.murthy.com/chat.html. This was answered by Attorney Murthy for a question by chat user. I don\'t remember which week\'s chat, but I am sure about this.

Don\'t worry.
