This is what I've heard in my company ...

For a re-verification (as in not a first time employment), you only need to fill Sec 1 and 3.

Sec 1 is personal details - simple enough
In Sec 3, just fill in "C" with the details of your current EAD. (assuming A and B are not applicable)
Doc Title is Emp Auth Document .... Doc # (see the EAD - it will be 766A I think) and the expiration date.

max2k1,
Where should we put A#? is that in section 1? please help

on Section 1 it says to check one

1. A citizen or national of the United States
2. A Lawful Permanent Resident (Alien # A___________)
3. An alien authorized to work until __/__ /__

which one should I check?

Section 1 has 3 lines in the bottom .... they ask for A# -- you will put it in there.

max2k1 you were replying while I am editing my message :D

Yeah - that's funny :D

I think you should check (3) --
you can't check (1) -obviously ! and not even (2) since you are not yet a LPR.

Check (3) and put the date of your EAD expiration and your A#

my HR now says some one from company should see my EAD personally.
my company is in delaware. I am in Calif. today is last day on h1-b. no one from my company is in california.

Yeah -- they say that ... it could be anyone from your company ... not necessarily your manager ... even peers/juniors would do.

Maybe see if you can get the EAD copy notarized for now ??

Maybe if they are anal, you can ask them if you can mail the actual EAD (via certified/FedEx) today and then they can mail it back via something safe ??

max,

what do yuo mean by peers/juniors?
What will happen if this process is delayed. Am I in trouble ?
I have send fax of my EAD and I-9 form to employer.
they say notary wont work.

When they say an employee of your company should see the EAD, it actually means any employee -- not necessarily your manager etc ....
that's why I said even your peers that are working in your company with you can do this.

From your description, it looks like you work at a different client site and you are the only employee from your company working there. Isn't there no other employee working anywhere close by ??

I *think* you should be OK within a few days -- IF you can get an employee and backdate your I-9 (not sure how "legal" this is - but in your case you really had the physical EAD - so maybe its ok ?)

Did you ask your company whether you can mail the actual EAD and they can mail it back after checking it ??
You should retail proof of mailing (certified mail) as evidence .... check if this would be ok.

Good luck !
