My case is the following, I'm about to file the I-485 just waiting for my wife's newest income tax, she is going to file for me. The situation is, I have a social security number that was assigned to me 5 years ago when I came to the USA with a J-1 VISA, then my concern is, Should my wife file a joint Income Tax (we've been married since february 2005), and this year's income tax will be used to file my I-485, can she add me as a dependant?, does it matter to my case?
