I have submitted my citizenship application last May (2004), and my finger print is scheduled on July 2004. Since I already had a business trip scheduled at that time, I postponed my date for fingerprint. This is a big mistake! I have not received my reschedule notice for another 2 month. After I went to the local INS office twice, finally I had my finger print done in Sept.2004. Since then I have been waiting for the notice of interview. In the last couple of months, I went to local INS office two more times to ask for status, and everytime I got the same information - We are waiting for FBI to clear your name check. My name check was submitted in June 2004. It is almost 10 months, and still waiting. I asked the officer in INS office how to check the status, the answer was: "there is nothing we can do, just wait". I am really frustrated, anyone can help?
