My lawyers applied for my AP on 26 Feb'03 in CSC with I-485 application. I never got a receipt notice for that. The check was cleared on 11th March and they dont' have a copy of it yet. They are saying it will take another 1-2 weeks for them to get the copy of check. I wanted to apply for an emergency AP in the local office (Newark, New Jersey). Can I get the receipt number by calling the service center ? Or can I just goto Newark and explain the situation ?
Any advice on this will be very helpful.
