I am a USC doing consular processing for my aged parents. I know that I have to submit my tax returns as proof of support, however do my parents have to take their tax returns/tax clearance certificate with their other docs to the interview? I have gone to the us gov imm site and there is nothing there except to bring marriage certs, police clearance certs, birth certs, passports and forms they filled out. They say nothing about foreign taxes for the alien immigrant. HELP!!!

Your parents do not have to file any tax documentation with USCIS, unless you are using their income to add to your own to mean the poverty level requirements. Even then I believe this is only possible if your parents filed US Tax returns. So in your case, their tax documents are not necessary.

I agree with this. Foreign tax docs are usually only required if the USC sponsor worked in the foreign country and a record of paying taxes there is requested during CP. I don't know if this is always requested, but I know of a few individuals who had to provide that in addition to their US tax returns they filed from overseas.
